Why the book that helps you look good naked?

I decided to make the book on this topic because the main audience of these type of sites doesn't care about performance. Oh sure, it's a nice side effect. Being strong is great too, but most just want to look good.

Yep, I said it. I'll say it once more: people want to look good and feel good; they train mostly for cosmetic goals. For some reason, you're not supposed to say this anymore, and I'm not sure why.

So, it's okay to train for cosmetic goals. It doesn't make you gay or less hardcore. In fact, the desire to balance muscle mass with low body fat is damn difficult.

So you can come out of the closet if this is your primary goal. You can say that you mainly want to look good. You can flex your biceps in the mirror and not feel embarrassed about it. You don't have to pretend you're an athlete in training just to sit at the cool kids' table at lunch. You can admit you'd rather look like Frank Zane than Anthony Clark.

It's okay. Really.

There are a whole slew of goals available to the iron addict, and this one is just as important as snatching a ton of weight off the floor, running a fast 40, or benching a Buick. It's okay to be a non-competing, non-bodybuilding-fan, performance-is-secondary lifter.

It's okay to be pretty.
